Hard-up pensioners Hilary and Malcolm join millionaire restaurateurs Michael and Andres on two very different holidays on the island of Tenerife. First up is a £3,000 a night luxury villa where the two couples are waited on hand and foot, before it is all change at the most basic of campsites on the other side of the island, with shared loos and a shower that blows hot and cold. The holiday ends in a life-changing moment that Hilary and Malcolm never saw coming.
