Two soldiers witness the sale of weapons by U.S. Army major to Afghani militants, and one of the soldiers is killed in the crossfire. The other joins witness protection along with his wife. Another officer (Joel Gretsch) arrives in Albuquerque, attempting to take over the relocation proceedings. At Mary's strong objections, Stan orders Mary and Marshall to work jointly with the officer. After the witness begins suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, the situation worsens.
