But there were hundreds of thousands of German prisoners of war locked up right here in the U.S. In 1943, the US military started bringing German POWs to the United States to relieve the stress of housing them in England and North Africa. KG and Ringy are headed to Camp Clinton, a major POW basecamp established in Mississippi.
