Here's an excerpt of the plot of the movie: In a treehouse, John Clayton II and his wife Alice raise a child. Alice dies of natural causes and Clayton is killed by apes. An ape named Kala and her son Akut find Clayton's son, John Clayton III: Kala adopted him as Tarzan, who would later become a famed ape man. At a point, Tarzan finds Jane and the two later marry. Later in 1889, a conference was held to divide up the African Congo. King Leopold of Belgium seized control of the land's minerals, which resulted in large profits. When the resources began to run dry, Leopold sent Captain Leon Rom to secure more minerals. When Rom searches for the minerals, his men open fire to a tribe. Rom is approached by the leader, Chief Mbonga, who offers Rom the minerals for Tarzan, who killed his son after Kala was murdered. The Prime Minister speaks to John, now Lord Greystoke, who is invited by King Leopold to head an expedition to Boma. George Washington Williams surges John to go, as he is really Tarzan, the famed ape man that lived in the jungle and was raised by apes. John declines the invitation, to the dismay of George and the PM. George follows John outside and tries to persuade John to consider otherwise, and to let him join. John changes his mind and agrees. The movie received several mixed reviews from various film critics with an average of 4.9/10 and was seen opened with weak results in theaters.
