Exodus: Gods and Kings is an action adventure film that is inspired by the biblical figure Moses from the book of Exodus of the bible. The movie is the modern interpretation of the exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt as led by Moses and related in the said book. It stars Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, John Turturro, Aaron Paul, Ben Mendelsohn, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley. Here's a brief synopsis of the movie: The defiant leader Moses rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses, setting 600,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues. The Exodus: Gods and Kings was directed by the Emmy Award winner, Sir Ridley Scott, the person behind the movies: Prometheus, The Counselor, Robin Hood and American Gangster. The film received mixed reviews from various critics and movie goers around the globe. It was first shown last December 4th to 5th in Asia and scheduled on the 12th in North America.
